Leaving a gift in your Will is one of the most powerful ways you can help change lives for autistic people and their families, for many years to come.

Leaving a gift in your Will is one of the most powerful ways you can help change lives for autistic people and their families, for many years to come.
Dogs for Autism is the UK’s first charity to exclusively provide assistance dogs for autistic people of any age, anywhere in the UK. Without us, children, young people and adults wouldn’t be able to have the support of an autism assistance dog funded and provided by a charity.
These dogs transform lives. They help children attend school confidently, young people to continue into college or university and adults to rejoin the workforce. Families are finally able to enjoy days out or even simple shopping trips together. Our dogs make the world feel safer and more accessible.
Leaving a gift is straightforward, whether you are writing your Will for the first time or updating an existing one. Legacies left to charity are exempt from inheritance tax, and in some cases can reduce the overall inheritance tax liability on your estate.
If you decide to leave a gift to Dogs for Autism, we recommend using the following wording:
I leave xxx to Dogs for Autism of
Unit 10, Hartley Park Farm Business Centre, Selborne Road, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 3HD.
Registered charity number 1181615 in England and Wales.
Please speak to your solicitor to ensure your wishes are carried out as intended.
If you don’t know where to begin when writing a Will, Free Wills offers a simple online process to get you started. Click the logo below to find out more.

Join our Living Legators Circle
If you have already included Dogs for Autism in your Will, or you are planning to, we would love to welcome you to our Living Legators Circle.
This special group recognises supporters who are helping to change lives for generations to come – and who want to be part of our story now.
As a Living Legator, you can choose to:
- Receive occasional updates about our work and the difference your future gift will make
- Join us for an annual thank you event and meet some of our amazing dogs-in-training
- Hear real stories from the families and individuals your gift will support
- Be acknowledged (with your permission) in our annual report and on our website
There is no obligation to share details of your Will, and you can remain anonymous if you prefer. But letting us know helps us plan and gives us the chance to say thank you.

Giving in Memory
Making a donation in memory of a loved one is another meaningful way to support our work, and you can be sure that any gift, small or large, helps us change lives. It may even be possible to name a dog after your friend or family member, if this is something you would like to do.
