Lead the Way – One Mile at a Time
Help Us Change Lives This May
DID YOU KNOW…?
The Earth’s circumference is around 25,000 miles.
AND…
It costs £25,000 to train a life-changing autism assistance dog.

Meet Louis – our first explorer!
Louis is one of our puppies in training. He’s full of potential and ready to make a life-changing difference.
But he can’t get there without your help.
This May, we’re inviting you to take part in a fun and meaningful fundraising challenge.
Every £1 you raise not only moves Louis one symbolic mile around the world, but, it brings him one step closer to becoming a life-changing companion for an autistic person.

Once Louis finishes his 25,000 mile adventure, he’ll then pass the baton to the next puppy in line, helping even more autistic individuals gain the life-changing support of an assistance dog.
At Dogs for Autism, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do — from caring for our young dogs and helping behind the scenes, to getting involved with fundraising or lending a specialist skill. However you choose to help, your time and energy play a vital role in our mission to transform lives through the power of assistance dogs.

Keeping Easter Safe for Your Dog: What to Watch Out For
Easter is a time for family, food, and celebration—but it also brings seasonal risks for our dogs. Here’s what to be aware of:
Chocolate eggs – Chocolate is highly toxic to dogs. Keep all Easter treats well out of their reach.
Hot cross buns – Even a single raisin or sultana can cause kidney failure in dogs. Don’t share buns or similar treats.
Easter baskets – Gift baskets often contain hidden dangers like nuts or fruit cake. Store them somewhere secure and out of sight.
Roast dinners – Rich foods and small bones can cause illness or injury. Stick to your dog’s normal diet—raw carrots are a safe treat.
Spring bulbs – Flowers such as daffodils, tulips and lilies are toxic if eaten. Keep dogs away from garden beds and bouquets.
If you suspect your dog has eaten something harmful, contact your vet immediately.
Let’s help every dog enjoy a happy and healthy Easter.

In the words of our CEO and founder, Hilary Armour:
There’s a photograph I often come back to — one that, for me, captures everything about why Dogs for Autism exists and how a dog called Daisy changed our lives...
