Buddy’s 2nd Stage Training Update
Buddy has now moved into his second stage of training and transitioned to his bed and breakfast home, where he has settled in beautifully. He is living in a lively and loving household, where children are in and out of the house all day. It’s a busy, happy environment and Buddy is thriving.
This stage of training is all about building on the solid foundations he has already mastered and introducing more advanced skills that will make a real difference to his future partner’s life. When it comes to training, Buddy is showing great focus, especially when treats are involved! Food is his greatest motivator, and he will happily work through his sits, downs, and flats if there’s a reward in sight. His enthusiasm makes training sessions productive and fun; especially his love of retrieving lost or hidden items.
Having spent so much time up at the ITV television Studios Buddy is very experienced at public access and will walk calmly in shops, settle in busy public areas and focus amidst distractions – essential skills for his future role as an autism assistance dog.
Overall Buddy is making great progress and we are so proud of how he is developing both in the home and in his training sessions.
Thank you for your continued support. Every step he takes brings him closer to making a life-changing difference for his future partner.
