Financial Statement

Changes to our financial year-end

We have taken the decision to move our financial year-end from 31st January to 31st July. This change is designed to better align our financial reporting with how we operate, plan, and deliver our work.

Better alignment with our activities and funding cycles – A July year-end will more accurately reflect our natural operating cycle, especially if key programmes and events conclude mid-year. This will ensure that our aligned financial statements and programme activity present a clear and more meaningful picture of our work, allowing trustees, funders and stakeholders to understand financial performance and impact. Additionally, many government and grant funding cycles run from April to March or July to June, a July year-end would align more closely with these timelines, making financial planning, reporting, and grant management more efficient.

Potential cost and scheduling benefits – January is a busy period for auditors and accountants. By moving our year-end, we may benefit from improved availability and potentially lower audit costs.

We expect our 2025-2026 year end draft accounts to be available from the end of March. Please do get in touch if you would like to view these accounts and audited accounts on the Charity Commission Website from the end of April.
